Craig Spegel - Custom Pistol Grips

To all my wonderful and valued customers ...

I am working on the "Call List". Feel free to call and have your name put on the list - lists are for revolvers, Hi Power guns and s.

You can find more information on our web, so please take a look.

For the Winchester First model owners:
If you are needing the dust cover, check out the ones that I made in the photo section. Also I am thinking of making up high-quality replacement screws for the . Please call if you are interested."

I just turned 62. That means I've been doing this for 45 years! I still enjoy doing what I do, but at some point I may like to do more fishing and less work.

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man, I insist that you read everything on my website as I have made some changes and added new info.

First, frames vary dimensionlly, it may only be by a few thousandths of an inch and may require some fitting!!! Because of this I DO NOT guarantee my grips to fit 100% on every single gun that I make grips for.

Second, I DO NOT offer any sort of money back refund if your gun is a little off from the norm.

Third, If you have any concerns about this, either call me for an explanation or don't place an order (see what I mean by the grumpy old man comment).

The worst case of "these grips don't fit" was when a local customer had a J-frame square butt that someone had used as a club and bent the grip frame forward about half an inch and also tore the web of the frame. I straightened and welded it up good as new. The point is that I have no control over what your gun has been through.

Thank you for taking the time to request information on my custom grips. As a bit of background information on myself, I have been making grips since , first as a hobby and then as a business. As mine is a one-person shop, every pair of grips is made by me personally, from selecting the rough planks to applying the finish. This also means that I sometimes get buried in orders and may run behind in getting your order out. Please be patient as I will not sacrifice quality for quantity. In the rare event that you should have a problem due to an inherent defect, your grip will either be repaired or replaced as quickly as possible. This guarantee only applies to standard or S+ grade woods.

The K, L, N frame round and square butt BOOT GRIP can be made with a 3/8" extension on the bottom. With this, most people can get all three fingers on the front strap, and yet still have a compact grip that is only a little bit longer than the BOOT GRIP.

For the K, L, N round butts, I am making a square butt conversion. This will have the 3/8" extension on the bottom, along with the look and feel of a square butt frame.

Since June, , all grips bear my signature on the inside, as many of you requested this. Since June , my CAS cartouche has been added to the inside of all grips as there are now several BOOT GRIP-type copies of poor design and inferior quality

I also offer a repair and refinishing service for my line of grips. So no matter how badly scratched, chipped or even broken - feel free to send then to me for a quote on repair costs.

The Cocobolo that I have used in the past is getting very hard to get anymore - as it is on the endangered species list. I still have a good supply of it at this time, but like all things, supply and demand regulates the price of Cocobolo.

If you are interested in high grade woods, please call for details as it is scarce, expensive (compared to standard grade wood) and I need to explain the nature of high grade woods and why I cannot guarantee them fully.

Again, thank you for your interest. I hope that I can be of service to you in the near future.
